I think things have gone far enough...

So there we were at White Marsh Mall.... when we came across the following...

It started with what looked like jean pockets displaying those analog checkers that really "high tech" radios (aka ghetto blasters) used to have in order to display the volume and bass and such.... like in the 80's. And by the end of the day I was actually a little surprised that I hadn't seen any hyper color.

I mean the first time I saw the shiny leather flat with a pointed toe make an entrance a few years ago I knew ugly was now somewhat associated with being "fashionable", but never... ever in my wildest dreams did I think that florescent would make a come back.
I mean.. it was short lived to begin with... and eventually it faded to just those still trying to sneak back stage at free Poison concerts... at the pier. But then I stumbled upon this... and it was everywhere. And it kinda frightened me ya'll.

It left me honestly fearing aquanet will also eventually have its day once again... and before we know it we'll be folding the ruffles on our socks over just enough so that the back of our heals still show... and puffing our socks up just high enough to compliment the cuff in our jeans. Which then by default will make me completely out of style. I shall not succumb to what is clearly a bored fashionista exercising a cruel misuse of power over the retail world!!! I swear it!

I repeat... I think things have gone far (back) enough! And if we're not careful to avoid falling into this trap things like straight hair, pants without holes, and the sport jacket worn with a button up shirt will leave us all in the "out" crowd.

... next thing you know you'll be calling your co-worker "stiles" or "boner"... and your pants will be made out of parachute material....
we must be strong.
