Well look at that...

Carved faces of a city-owned installation called "The Long Breath" by local artist Ron Cowan. At first glance - at high tide that is - they seem nothing more than a place to harbor a boat. But once the level drops they reveal these funny little tiki-like faces that patiently waited to surface.

So here I am in Belfast, Maine at the harbor...

and here I am in Vinalhaven, Maine.
And it was like the best "business trip" Ive ever taken in my life.
